Before explaining our product, let us briefly look at what regular Charcoal Briquets are made of. Generally speaking, charcoal is made of the substance gathered after partially burning wood or by heating the wood - the process known as Destructive Distillation. During this procedure there are some volitale chemicals still left in the product. The creating of Charcoal Briquets along with the consumption of food cooked over it is not good for the environment or you! Lighter Fluid is yet another item to consider!

Wood is the oldest form of energy used to provide warmth as well as prepare food for man. Historically, three factors have been responsible for the decline of wood as a commercial fuel -low BTU value per weight and volume, non-uniform of furnish, and high moisture content.
These three factors are still very much at work in today's marketplace when decision makers compare alternative energy systems. Additionally, the availability of wood fuel has also been a barrier to its use outside of the forest products industry. Today, our society is moving towards preservation of our natural resources. This has been our quest since the late 70's.
We here at Enviro have spent millions of dollars to address all of these concerns and have come up with a patented product called Woodfire that answers these concerns and solves the problems. Wood is now available in a prepared form and a very viable option.
Woodfire has a high BTU value, twice that of firewood pound for pound and nearly three times the heating value on an equal volume basis. It has the same rate of combustion efficiency as natural gas (78% for gas, 78% for Woodfire).
Woodfire briquets are all the same size and have consistent burning qualities providing a uniformity of furnish. They are conveniently packaged and are made sterile when they exit the process, thus allowing them to be stored in a food grade warehouse facility. They are clean, convenient, chemical-free, and consistent. The Woodfire briquets and loggets are so dense they will not even float in water!

Woodfire contains no measurable moisture, so all energy produced goes directly to producing BTU's, and eliminates the problem of high moisture content. No BTU's are wasted driving moisture out of the firewood. It takes about 1000 BTU's to drive out each pound of moisture in firewood, E.g., 100 pounds of ordinary firewood with a moisture content of 30% will require the use of 30,000 BTU's to drive off the moisture in that firewood.
